본 방침은 Android/iOS 두 버전에 공통으로 적용됩니다. 두 버전 사이에 실제로 차이가 있는 항목(알림 자동 감지, 결제 처리 시스템 등)은 아래에 "(Android 버전 전용)"/"(iOS 버전)" 등으로 구분해 표시합니다.
WEBTOON TIMER(이하 "앱")는 이용자의 개인정보를 중요시하며, 「개인정보 보호법」을 준수합니다. 본 방침은 앱이 어떤 개인정보를 수집·이용·보관·파기하는지 안내합니다.
1. 수집하는 개인정보 항목 및 수집 목적
1-1. 클라우드 백업(계정 연동, Pro 전용 기능) 이용 시
Android 버전은 Google 계정(Google Sign-In)으로, iOS 버전은 Apple ID(Sign in with Apple)로만 연동됩니다 — 각 플랫폼에서 하나의 로그인 수단만 제공합니다.

1-3. 광고 서비스 이용 시
앱은 광고 중개 SDK인 AppLovin MAX를 통해 광고를 표시하며, 이 과정에서 AppLovin 및 이를 통해 연동되는 광고 네트워크가 아래 정보를 자체적으로 수집·처리합니다(AppLovin 공식 개인정보처리방침 기준, 발효일 2024년 5월 3일). 앱이 직접 수집·저장하는 항목이 아니라 SDK 자체가 처리합니다.

1-4. 결제 시
앱은 결제 정보를 직접 수집하지 않습니다. 구독 결제는 Android 버전은 Google Play 빌링 시스템을, iOS 버전은 Apple App Store(StoreKit) 인앱결제 시스템을 통해 처리되며, 카드 정보 등은 각 스토어 운영사(Google 또는 Apple)가 관리합니다.
2. 개인정보의 보유 및 이용 기간
- 클라우드 백업 데이터(이메일, 작품 목록): 이용자가 앱 내 "클라우드 백업 → 계정 및 데이터 삭제"를 요청하는 즉시 삭제됩니다. 그 전까지는 별도 보유기간 제한 없이 서비스 제공 목적으로 보관됩니다. 결제는 Google Play 빌링이 직접 처리하고 앱은 결제·거래 정보를 보관하지 않으므로, 전자상거래법상 거래기록 별도 보관 의무는 이 앱에 해당하지 않습니다.
- 로컬 기기 저장 데이터: 앱을 삭제(언인스톨)하면 함께 삭제됩니다.
- 크라우드소싱 관찰값(익명): 특정 이용자와 연결할 수 없어 개인정보에 해당하지 않으며, 별도의 보유기간을 정하고 있지 않습니다.
- 광고 SDK(AppLovin MAX) 수집 정보: AppLovin 자체 정책 기준 최대 2년간 보관되며, 기기에 대해 2년간 갱신된 정보가 없으면 AppLovin 시스템에서 자동으로 삭제됩니다(앱이 아닌 AppLovin이 직접 관리).
3. 개인정보의 파기 절차 및 방법
- 파기 절차: 이용자가 앱 내 "계정 및 데이터 삭제" 기능을 실행하면, 서버(Firebase)에 저장된 백업 데이터와 인증 계정이 즉시 삭제 처리됩니다. 로그인 없이 앱을 삭제(언인스톨)하는 경우 기기에 저장된 데이터는 함께 삭제됩니다.
- 파기 방법: 전자적 파일 형태로 저장된 개인정보는 복구할 수 없는 기술적 방법으로 영구 삭제합니다.
4. 개인정보의 제3자 제공
앱은 원칙적으로 이용자의 개인정보를 외부에 제공하지 않습니다. 다만 아래의 경우는 예외로 합니다.
- 광고 네트워크 파트너: 앱은 광고 중개 SDK(AppLovin MAX)를 통해 광고를 표시하며, 이 과정에서
광고 식별자·기기 정보·대략적 위치 등이 AppLovin과 연동된 광고 네트워크 파트너들에게 전달됩니다.
AppLovin은 자체 정책에서 "달리 명시되지 않는 한 각 광고 파트너는 해당 데이터에 대한 독립적
컨트롤러"라고 밝히고 있어, 이는 단순 업무 위탁이 아니라 제3자 제공에 해당합니다.
- 제공받는 자: AppLovin Corporation 및 그 광고 네트워크 파트너 — 구체적 목록은 applovin.com/applovin-partners-privacy에서 확인 가능(AppLovin이 수시로 갱신)
- 제공 항목: 광고 식별자, 기기 정보, 대략적 위치 등(위 1-3 참고)
- 제공 목적: 광고 표시, 타겟팅, 실적 측정

8. 쿠키 등 자동 수집 장치 및 거부 방법
앱은 웹 브라우저 쿠키를 사용하지 않습니다. 다만 아래와 같은 자동 수집 장치에 준하는 기술을 사용합니다.
- 광고 식별자(Advertising ID) 및 대략적 위치: 광고 SDK(AppLovin MAX)가 광고 개인화·타겟팅을 위해 자동으로 수집합니다. 아래 방법으로 거부할 수 있습니다.
- 알림 접근 권한(Android 버전 전용): 설정 → 알림 → 특수 액세스 권한 → 알림 액세스에서 언제든지 해제할 수 있습니다. iOS 버전은 이 권한 자체가 없습니다.
- EU/영국/스위스 이용자 동의 화면(CMP): 해당 지역의 이용자에게는 앱 실행 시 Google UMP(User Messaging Platform) 기반의 동의 화면이 자동으로 표시되며, 광고 SDK(AppLovin MAX) 및 그 입찰 파트너들은 이 동의 결과를 반영하여 광고를 표시합니다.
부칙
본 방침은 위에 명시된 시행일자부터 적용됩니다. 이후 개정이 있을 경우 이 부칙에 개정 일자와 변경 사항을 추가로 안내합니다.
2026년 08월 20일 개정: iOS 버전 출시 준비에 따라, Android/iOS 간 실제 기능·처리 방식 차이(로그인 수단 — Android는 Google 계정, iOS는 Apple ID(Sign in with Apple)만 제공, 알림 자동 감지 기능 유무, 결제 처리 시스템, 광고 식별자 옵트아웃 방법)를 명확히 구분하는 문구를 추가했습니다. 기존 이용자의 권리·의무에 실질적인 변경은 없습니다.

This Policy applies to both the Android and iOS versions. Where there are actual differences between the two versions (e.g., automatic notification detection, payment processing systems), such items are marked below as "(Android only)" / "(iOS version)".
WEBTOON TIMER (the "App") values users' personal information and complies with South Korea's Personal Information Protection Act. This Policy explains what personal information the App collects, uses, stores, and destroys.
1. Personal Information Collected and Purpose of Collection
1-1. When Using Cloud Backup (Account Linking, Pro-only Feature)
The Android version links only via Google Account (Google Sign-In); the iOS version links only via Apple ID (Sign in with Apple) — each platform provides exactly one sign-in method.

1-3. When Using Advertising Services
The App displays ads through the ad-mediation SDK AppLovin MAX, during which AppLovin and the ad networks connected through it independently collect and process the information below (per AppLovin's official Privacy Policy, effective May 3, 2024). These items are processed by the SDK itself, not directly collected/stored by the App.

1-4. When Making Payments
The App does not directly collect payment information. Subscription payments are processed through the Google Play Billing system on the Android version and the Apple App Store (StoreKit) in-app purchase system on the iOS version; card details, etc., are managed by the respective store operator (Google or Apple).
2. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information
- Cloud backup data (email, series list): Deleted immediately upon the user's request via "Cloud Backup → Delete Account and Data" in the App. Until then, retained without a separate retention limit for the purpose of providing the Service. Because Google Play Billing directly processes payments and the App does not retain payment/transaction records, the separate transaction-record retention obligation under e-commerce law does not apply to this App.
- Locally stored device data: Deleted together with the App upon uninstallation.
- Crowdsourced observations (anonymous): Cannot be linked to a specific user and therefore do not constitute personal information; no specific retention period is set.
- Data collected by the advertising SDK (AppLovin MAX): Retained for up to 2 years per AppLovin's own policy; automatically deleted by AppLovin's systems if no updated information for a device is received within 2 years (managed directly by AppLovin, not the App).
3. Procedures and Methods for Destruction of Personal Information
- Destruction procedure: When a user executes "Delete Account and Data" within the App, backup data and the authentication account stored on the server (Firebase) are immediately deleted. If the App is uninstalled without ever logging in, data stored on the device is deleted along with it.
- Destruction method: Personal information stored in electronic file form is permanently deleted using a method that prevents recovery.
4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
In principle, the App does not provide users' personal information to external parties. The following is an exception:
- Advertising network partners: The App displays ads through an
ad-mediation SDK (AppLovin MAX), during which advertising identifiers, device information,
approximate location, etc. are shared with AppLovin's connected ad network partners. AppLovin
states in its own policy that "unless otherwise specified, each advertising partner is an
independent controller of such data," meaning this constitutes third-party disclosure rather
than mere processing on the Company's behalf.
- Recipients: AppLovin Corporation and its advertising network partners — a specific list is available at applovin.com/applovin-partners-privacy (updated periodically by AppLovin)
- Items provided: Advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location, etc. (see 1-3 above)
- Purpose of provision: Ad display, targeting, performance measurement
- Retention/use period: Per each partner's own policy (up to 2 years under AppLovin's own standard)

8. Cookies and Other Automatic Collection Tools, and How to Opt Out
The App does not use web browser cookies. However, it uses the following technologies equivalent to automatic collection tools.
- Advertising identifier and approximate location: Automatically collected
by the advertising SDK (AppLovin MAX) for ad personalization/targeting. You may opt out as
follows:
- Device settings — Android: Settings → Google → Ads → opt out of Ads Personalization or delete the advertising ID, restrict location services / iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, deny the app's tracking request (App Tracking Transparency), or restrict location services
- Industry opt-out platforms: NAI, DAA
- The "AppLovin Privacy Management" app (available on the App Store/Google Play) — allows requesting access to or deletion of information AppLovin has collected
- Notification access permission (Android only): Can be revoked at any time via Settings → Notifications → Special app access → Notification access. The iOS version does not have this permission at all.
- EU/UK/Switzerland consent screen (CMP): Users in these regions are automatically shown a consent screen based on Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) when the App launches; the advertising SDK (AppLovin MAX) and its bidding partners honor this consent outcome when displaying ads.
Addendum
This Policy applies from the effective date specified above. Any future amendments will be noted in this Addendum along with the amendment date and details of the change.
Amended August 20, 2026: In preparation for the iOS release, wording was added to clearly distinguish actual functional/processing differences between the Android and iOS versions (login method — Android supports only Google Account, iOS supports only Apple ID via Sign in with Apple; presence/absence of automatic notification detection; payment processing system; advertising identifier opt-out method). There is no substantive change to existing users' rights or obligations.

WEBTOON TIMER（以下「アプリ」）は利用者の個人情報を重視し、韓国の「個人情報保護法」を 遵守します。本ポリシーは、アプリがどのような個人情報を収集・利用・保管・破棄するかについて 案内します。

1-1. クラウドバックアップ（アカウント連携、Pro専用機能）利用時
Android版はGoogleアカウント（Googleサインイン）でのみ、iOS版はApple ID（Sign in with Apple）でのみ連携されます — 各プラットフォームでそれぞれ1つのログイン手段のみを提供します。

1-4. 決済時
アプリは決済情報を直接収集しません。サブスクリプション決済はAndroid版はGoogle Play Billingシステムを、iOS版はApple App Store（StoreKit）アプリ内課金システムを通じて処理され、 カード情報などは各ストア運営会社（GoogleまたはApple）が管理します。
2. 個人情報の保有および利用期間
- クラウドバックアップデータ（メール、作品リスト）：利用者がアプリ内 「クラウドバックアップ → アカウントおよびデータの削除」を要求すると直ちに削除されます。それまで は別途の保有期間の制限なくサービス提供目的で保管されます。決済はGoogle Play Billingが直接 処理し、アプリは決済・取引情報を保管しないため、電子商取引法上の取引記録の別途保管義務はこの アプリには該当しません。
- 端末ローカル保存データ：アプリを削除（アンインストール）すると併せて 削除されます。
- クラウドソーシング観測値（匿名）：特定の利用者と紐付けることができないため 個人情報に該当せず、別途の保有期間は定めていません。
- 広告SDK（AppLovin MAX）収集情報：AppLovin独自のポリシー基準で最大2年間 保管され、端末について2年間更新された情報がない場合、AppLovinのシステムにより自動的に削除 されます（アプリではなくAppLovinが直接管理）。
3. 個人情報の破棄手続きおよび方法
- 破棄手続き：利用者がアプリ内「アカウントおよびデータの削除」機能を実行 すると、サーバー（Firebase）に保存されたバックアップデータおよび認証アカウントが直ちに削除 処理されます。ログインせずにアプリを削除（アンインストール）する場合、端末に保存された データも併せて削除されます。
- 破棄方法：電子的ファイル形式で保存された個人情報は、復元できない技術的 方法で永久削除します。
4. 個人情報の第三者提供
アプリは原則として利用者の個人情報を外部に提供しません。ただし、以下の場合は例外とします。
- 広告ネットワークパートナー：アプリは広告仲介SDK（AppLovin MAX）を通じて
広告を表示し、この過程で広告識別子・デバイス情報・おおよその位置情報などがAppLovinと連携する
広告ネットワークパートナーに伝達されます。AppLovinは自社ポリシーで「別途明示されない限り、
各広告パートナーは当該データに対する独立したコントローラーである」と述べており、これは
単純な業務委託ではなく第三者提供に該当します。
- 提供先：AppLovin Corporationおよびその広告ネットワークパートナー — 具体的なリストは applovin.com/applovin-partners-privacy で確認可能（AppLovinが随時更新）
- 提供項目：広告識別子、デバイス情報、おおよその位置情報など（上記1-3参照）
- 提供目的：広告表示、ターゲティング、実績測定
- 保有・利用期間：各パートナー会社のポリシーに従う（AppLovin独自基準で最大2年）

6. 利用者の権利と行使方法
利用者はいつでも以下の方法で自身の個人情報を閲覧・訂正・削除できます。
- アプリ内で：クラウドバックアップ画面 →「アカウントおよびデータの削除」 から直接削除可能
- メールでのお問い合わせ：sanoscan@gmail.com への要請時、本人確認後に処理

8. クッキー等の自動収集装置および拒否方法
アプリはウェブブラウザのクッキーを使用しません。ただし、以下のような自動収集装置に準ずる 技術を使用します。
- 広告識別子（Advertising ID）およびおおよその位置情報：広告SDK（AppLovin
MAX）が広告のパーソナライズ・ターゲティングのために自動的に収集します。以下の方法で拒否
できます。
- 端末設定 — Android：設定 → Google → 広告 → 広告のパーソナライズ解除または広告IDの 削除、位置情報サービスの制限 / iOS：設定 → プライバシーとセキュリティ → トラッキングで アプリのトラッキング許可リクエストを拒否（App Tracking Transparency）、または位置情報 サービスを制限
- 業界共通オプトアウトプラットフォーム： NAI, DAA
- AppLovinが提供する「AppLovin Privacy Management」アプリ（App Store/Google Playから ダウンロード） — AppLovinが収集した個人情報の閲覧・削除請求が可能
- 通知アクセス権限（Android版のみ）：設定 → 通知 → 特別なアプリアクセス → 通知アクセスからいつでも解除できます。iOS版にはこの権限自体がありません。
- EU/英国/スイス利用者向け同意画面（CMP）：該当地域の利用者にはアプリ起動時 にGoogle UMP（User Messaging Platform）ベースの同意画面が自動的に表示され、広告SDK （AppLovin MAX）およびその入札パートナーはこの同意結果を反映して広告を表示します。
付則
本ポリシーは上記に明示された施行日から適用されます。以後改定がある場合、この付則に改定日と 変更事項を追加でご案内します。
2026年08月20日改定：iOS版のリリース準備に伴い、Android/iOS間で実際に機能・ 処理方式に差異がある項目（ログイン手段 — AndroidはGoogleアカウントのみ、iOSはApple ID （Sign in with Apple）のみ提供、通知自動検知機能の有無、決済処理システム、広告識別子オプト アウト方法）を明確に区別する文言を追加しました。既存利用者の権利・義務に実質的な変更はありません。
